slap bass?

so i need to learn how to slap on bass. At the moment all i can do is play the intro to a RHCP song (the name escapes me) which is a start, but i could do better.

Anyone know 1) some good songs to cover in orfer to hone my skills 2) good online tutorials?

could always look in to victer Wooten, that guy is fucking crazy on slaping bass. As for slapping it's self it isnt that hard I was doing it the very first time I pickup up a bass, My friends, bass, He watched jaws droped then said "I fucking Hate you" Now he is so much better then I am on bass becuz I stuck with the guitar

yeah i barely can do it but my friend (who is a bassist) put money down that I couldn't get anywhere close to doing it...and i got the money.

basily Start off with the SIDE of your thumb dude, and kinda hit closer to the bridge for the "Funk" sound thats what I was doing and if you watch people playing on youtube the do that way also
